Space heater increase my electric bill?

Confused. . . asked:

I have a small little space heater 1500 watt, but i always use it on the low setting. If used it about 10 minutes a day, how much do you think that would increase my electric bill?

10 minutes a day??? No increase in your bill at all.

A 1500 watt heater usually uses 1000 watts on the low setting. If you run it for 10 mins a day, it would be like having a 100 watt lightbulb on for 100 mins ( 1h 40mins). It would increase your bill but not much.

Depends on how much your electric company charges.

1000 watts for an hour is a kilowatt-hour (kWh). 1500 watts for 30 days at 10 minutes a day would be 7.5 kWh (if you’re actually using all of those watts). If you look at your electric bill, the cost per kWh should be listed. Multiply that by 7.5 and you’ll have your answer. It’s not much.

Somehow, though, I’m guessing that you might actually average more than 10 minutes a day, so it could be more. :-)
