Yes it would but not nearly to the extent that a dehumidifier does.
A space heater will have a very minimal effect on the relative humidity of the room. As it heats the room air, the air will expand slightly and that will spread the moisture out in the air, but it will result in very little reduction percentage wise. The only way to truly reduce the humidity is to condense the moisture out of the air. That’s what the dehumidifier does. It uses a refrigeration cycle to condense the moisture out of the air. The warm moist air is passed across a coil where heat is removed from that air and the moisture is turned from vapor to liquid. Using a space heater to control humidity is very inefficient and costly. It can also be dangerous because of the fire hazard space heaters can present. I would recommend spending the money for the dehumidifier.
no only temporary. 65
They make products that get rid of moisture in the air that are cheaper than a dehumidifier. Damprid is the name and they make a variety of products. I use them in my crawl space to keep the moisture low during the winter.
If you have mold the best was is to put straight bleach on it. 24 hours later it will be gone without scrubbing. The only thing is you don’t want to get a chemical burn or damage carpeting, etc. You might be able to get away with lower concentrations.
